Satux is a 100% Brazilian Linux distribution. It is mainly developed by the Institute of Technology JRSC (iTJRSC).

The philosophy of Satux is practicality[citation needed]; that includes trying to match Microsoft Windows's simplicity of use.

The target of Satux is the end user.[citation needed] Those without major tech skills that want to use their computers to accelerate their academic or professional activities, or simply browse the Internet without concerns about viruses and other virtual pests.

The interface is one of the great qualities of Satux and that shows good part of his gap on other Linux distributions.[citation needed] The Satux user easily learns how to navigate the interface because it is extremely easy.[citation needed]
