"Saturday Love" was a successful top ten UK and US R&B hit for for Alexander O'Neal and Cherrelle in 1985. The song appeared on Cherelle's album High Priority.

It reached #6 in the UK and #2 in the US R&B chart. It was also the highest charting single for Alexander O'Neal in Ireland, reaching #7 in the Irish Singles Chart.

Samples of O'Neal's vocals have been used in the dance hit "My Feeling" by Junior Jack.

In 2007, Alexander O'Neal re-recorded the track for his album Alex Loves.. which was released in February 2008. This version featured the vocals of Bianca Lindgren in place of Cherelle.
