Satellite High School is a public high school (grades 9 - 12) located in Satellite Beach, Florida in Florida's Space Coast, Brevard County. It was founded in 1966, and has been rated an 'A' school in the state of Florida for the past four years.[2] The 2007 - 2008 enrollment for Satellite was 1,414 students. The mascot is the Scorpion.

The school has 92 teachers, 12 support personnel, six administrators, and four guidance counselors.[3]
In 1993, Satellite High School Biology and Science teacher Tracey L. Bailey was selected as the National Teacher of the Year.[4]
"Within 3 years of being hired by Satellite high school, Mr. Bailey's institution had one of the strongest science programs in the entire State of Florida, and it won numerous national and international awards. These advanced programs aren't just for a favored few. Tracey Bailey has inspired all kinds of students, including those previously known as low-achieving or at-risk, to reach for excellence and to attain it. Linda Anderson is the Athletic Director for the Scorpions program. [8] Satellite is part of the Florida High School Athletic Association and competes in the Cape Coast Conference located in Brevard County, Florida. Satellite has enjoyed years of success, winning the Florida Today All-Space Coast Trophy (awarded to the top Brevard school with the most sports points) for the past 10 years. [9] In 2008, Satellite finished 5th overall in the Class 5A classification in the 2007-2008 Dodge Sunshine Cup All-Sports Awards while the girl's program finished 4th in the state. [10]
Satellite has captured 17 state championships in six sports in its 46 year history. Satellite boasts one of the strongest girls programs in the state as the girls have won 13 state championships in its history. [11]

- Ashlyn Harris - 2004. 4-Time Parade Magazine All-American, 2004 Gatorade National Player of the Year, 4-Time NSCAA All-American, 2004 NSCAA Girl's Soccer Player of the Year, U.S. National Team player, 2006 National Championship with the University of North Carolina women's soccer team. [19]
- Sarah Spinner - 2001. 2001 Florida Today Volleyball Player of the Year, Three-Time Florida Today Tennis Player of the Year, holds school record for kills in season (333 in 2001). [20] Four-Year lettermen at the University of Kentucky, set numerous school records, including No. 8 all-time in games played (437), No. 3 all-time in kills with 1,565, No. 2 all-time in attack attempts with 4,172, No. 4 all-time in digs with 1,127, No. 4 all-time in service aces with 145 [21]
- Courtney Baines - 2002, 2002 Florida Today Women's Soccer Player of the Year, scored 109 goals and set the state-record with 101 assists in three seasons. First-Team All-State and State Champion in 2002, teammates with 4-Time Parade Magazine All-American Ashlyn Harris. Four-Year lettermen for the University of Central Florida's women's soccer team, started 84 of 90 games, Two-Time All-Conference First-Team, 2004 Atlantic Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Year, 2005 Conference USA Player of the Year. - Kelly Kretschman - 1997. Four-Time All-American for the University of Alabama's softball team. First-Team All-American in 2000 & 2001. Kretschman left Alabama as the No. 1 leader in every major offensive category including a .437 batting average (No. 1 all-time in the Southeastern Conference), .544 on-base percentage (No. 1 in SEC all-time), 60 home runs (No. 1 in SEC all-time) [23], 386 hits (No. 1 in SEC all-time), 191 RBI (No. 1 in SEC all-time), and 133 stolen bases (No. 2 in SEC all-time). [24] Kretschman is currently on the U.S. National Softball Team and won a gold medal in the 2004 Athens Olympics games. She will be heading to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China in the summer of 2008. [25]
- Matt Skrmetta - 1990. Former Major League Baseball pitcher for the Montreal Expos and Pittsburgh Pirates. Holds MLB record for most organizations played for (13 organizations, 24 professional teams). [26]
- Ryan Cullen - 1998. 33rd round MLB draft pick of the Texas Rangers, Triple-A in the New York Mets organization in 2008. [27]
- Cassidy Maxwell - class of 1998, captured six individual state championships at Satellite, won 2003 National Championship with Auburn University, Two-Time All-American at Auburn. [28]
- C. J. Hobgood - 1997. Twin brother of Damien Hobgood, Professional surfer. Currently competing in the Association of Surfing Professionals World Tour, 2001 World Champion, 1999 ASP Rookie of the Year. [29]
