User:Saro Coud
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
If you are curious about this, Saro Cloud was a large high-wing twin-engine amphibian produced by the Saunders Roe (SARO) Company in England back in the thirties; I use it occasionally as a handle because it is rarely rejected as an 'id'. My father, who was inducted into the CAHF in 1973, piloted the aircraft across Canada in the Air Pageant of 1931. I will be drafting biographical notes on Canadian Aviation Hall of Fame (CAHF) inductees for all those whose names are missing from the current listing as of April 14, 2008. I have the approval of the CAHF curator to do this and will be using their published reference materials plus my own set of aviation history books to reference my work.
Advice and suggestions are welcome as I have a lot to learn about Wikipedia.
I have some knowledge of Canadian Aviation History, and particularly aspects of its civil & commercial aviation history in the nineteen twenties and thirties.
