Did You Know

... that Sarah Brady became a leading leading advocate of gun control and other actions to reduce the amount of gun violence in the United States after her husband White House Press Secretary James Brady sustained a disabling head wound during the Reagan assassination attempt which occurred on March 30, 1981?

[edit] Honorary doctorate degrees

Its not really conventional to call someone a Dr. just because they have an honorary doctorate.--nixie 10:55, 9 May 2005 (UTC)

I had some doubts when I did that, so I have removed it in the name. The mention of the award is still in the article. Thanks. Vaoverland 18:40, May 9, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Refutation

So would it be appropriate to insert counter-arguments here, or what? This page reads as rather frightfully pro-gun control. Stiletto Null 08:07, 7 October 2005 (UTC)

Sarah Brady and her husband James are unquestionably pro-gun control, notwithstanding her incident with the straw purchase. I think a pro/con NPOV argument would be be more appropriate in the article on Gun politics. If you feel strongly, i feel that is the place to make sure the NPOV is presented. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Bn050502 80.gif

Image:Bn050502 80.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:22, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
