[edit] Kingdom of Taiwan carvings

On 30 August 2007 Roded86400 changed the wording from "wooden carvings in the mudiao style (zh:木雕), which are also called "Kingdom of Taiwan carvings" (台灣木雕王國)" to "wooden carvings in the mudiao style (zh:木雕), which are also called "Kingdom of Taiwan Mudiao" (台灣木雕王國)." In Roded86400's version there really is no need for the second name since they are all called mudiao. I left a message on Roded86400's talk page asking for an explanation. Note: Kingdom of Taiwan refers to the Qing kingdom on the island, 1661-1683. --Bejnar 18:31, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup tag

After making a number of edits, I have removed the clean up tag. The originator of the tag has been blocked, so I was unable to get his/her opinion as to whether it could come off. I am still concerned about the word mudiao which Roded86400 indicated (before he was blocked) that it was simply the pronunciation of 木雕. He said that he couldn't find a translation of it. I am not sure that mudiao is a wood carving style. I am sure that they are called "Kingdom of Taiwan carvings", but that is clearly later nomenclature since no one was producing them here in Sanyi in that period. --Bejnar 01:29, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
