I think this should be spelled Santoprene, a trademark name for a line of TPV (thermoplastic vulcanizate), TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) or thermoplastic rubber compounds developed in the 1980's by AES and now evidently owned by Exxon Mobil [1] Laura-m7 20:48, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
