To avoid further confusion with the line of Nike sneakers, could someone please edit the word "huarache" so it stops redirecting to this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.206.154.150 (talk) 12:37, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Etymology of the word from ancient Hebrew?

I've seen the term "Sandal", transliterated exactly as written, in ancient Hebrew scripture, namely the Bible and the Mishnah. Does anyone know authoritatively the etymology of the word to be from Biblical or Mishnaic Hebrew? --Valley2cityShalom‽ 08:40, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
