[edit] Ecology
The following text was added to create a section "Ecology" but, in doing so, the editor deleted all links and footnotes from the main article. I've reverted the edit but put a copy of the new text here. Dricherby (talk) 20:08, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

So I've deleted it from here -- there doesn't seem to be any need to have two copies lying around. The problem with trying to fix the references is that they used to be links to external web pages but the links have been lost. Dricherby (talk) 17:33, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
I've done my best to sort out the references. Most of them were web pages, so the loss of the links made this difficult. I Googled for similar material but, in most cases, I was unable to find pages that matched the descriptions and also supported the statements they were supposed to provide citations for. Most of these statements have been given "Citation needed" tags.
I've also edited out some of the more florid prose and tried to improve the structure of the article. Perhaps the editor who wrote the section can come back and fill in the references I couldn't find? Dricherby (talk) 18:34, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
