[edit] Most Liberal County in California

I have read elsewhere that San Mateo County is one of the most liberal counties in the state of California. With it having the highest ratio of Democrat registered voters compared to Republican registered voters. Is this true?

What is the office term length of a Supervisor? I understand that he has done a wonderful job and is he aspiring to a higher office? Just what is the actual job of Supervisor and does it deal with higher offices in the state? I am writing a paper on the politics of San Mateo County and what the different jobs entail, the length of time elected and if re-electable?
