Talk:San Francisco Ballet
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page needs work - the history section is seriously lacking, esp. in the most recent history of the company, and there is no information about the ballet school. The page history shows that major updates to the company history were put in with SFB's permission - I understand that this may not be as free a license as is needed for use on Wikipedia, but some effort should definitely be made to flesh out the history of the company and its repertory... I'll see what I can do when I've got some free time, but other help would be great... Splowey 22:49, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
I'll try to add to this article at some point. My late wife was lighting designer for SFB from 1978-1984, so I have a lot of information. Note on sources: the LeBlond book is unreliable, omitting important people the author disliked. It's a real example of vanity publishing. There's a more reliable book published for the company's 50th anniversary, by Cobbett Steinberg, which gives company rep to that point. David Brownell 05:38, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
