Talk:San Diego Wild Animal Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Marj -- IIRC, it's Przewalski's horse...if that's what you're talking about. But don't hold me to it! JHK
JH -- I verified it at the zoo's website, thanks! And has anybody else noticed how much the Przewalski's horses resemble the clay Chinese horses that were buried with the clay army? Marj Tiefert
[edit] Copyright
There may be some copyright infringement in the current revision of the article, as suggested by the following line from the lede:
- The park is also noted for its California condor breeding program, possibly the most successful program in the country, as well as an amazing collection of rare hornbills.
This should be compared with the following from this site:
- The park is also noted for its highly successful California Condor breeding program and an amazing collection of rare hornbills.
It will probably be good to go through the article and reword things. modify 15:12, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wgasa
Shouldn't the myth of calling it Wgasa for the abbreviation "Who Gives A Shit Anyways" be mentioned? It's linked, but that's it.
- Ahem... who says it's a myth? Sheep81 17:41, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Because the Wgasa Bush Railway is no longer in operation, shouldn't the part in the introduction stating that the "Wgasa Railway explores 700 acres worth of free range exhibits" be removed?
Yes, please feel free to update it with some information about the new tram system Linelor 00:35, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Man this ruins my childhood... The Monorail was the best part of the Wild Animal Park. I remember we went to the park just to ride it. Sometimes more than once. Heh, and the mule dear always just standing on the tracks. Good times. Can't believe its gone... T.T Rogutaan 02:50, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Land Area
There seems to be some inconsistency in the amount of land area of the park. In the description box, it states 700 acres, while on the article it lists 1,800 acres. Which is the accurate figure? Mim37204 18:41, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
