Santa Margarita Invitational Handicap

The Santa Margarita Invitational Handicap is an American graded stakes race for thoroughbred horses run at a distance of one and one-eighths miles on the Santa Anita dirt track. The race is the premier winter race for older fillies and mares. A Grade I, it offers a purse of $300,000.
The racing filly Busher won this race in 1945, Two Lea in 1950, Gamely in 1968, Gallant Bloom in 1970, and Susan's Girl in 1973.
