Sang Kancil

The Sang Kancil is a part of Malaysian folklore. A weak and small yet cunning figure, the Sang Kancil[1] uses its intelligent advantage to triumph over beings more powerful than itself. This folklore character is similar to the American figure Br'er Rabbit and has been an empowering figure for Malaysian peasants.
