SBI – Trevose, which opened in 1986, provides programs in a variety of healthcare professions. The original Sanford-Brown Institute began in 1977 in New York.[1] The school is a for-profit postsecondary learning institution. SBI offers several campuses throughout the United States.

SBI – Trevose offers a variety of career-oriented healthcare programs year round. Classes are offered days, evenings, and weekends. Many programs include unpaid clinical externships.[2]

Admission requirements include (but are not limited to)[3] :

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • personal interview
  • certification of good health
  • entrance assessment (for some programs)

Accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award certificates and diplomas.[4] SBI – Trevose’s Medical Assistant program is programmatically accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).[5] The school in Trevose is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools.
