Sands Secondary was formerly Sands Junior Secondary with Grades 8-10. With the reconfiguration of the 4 high schools in North Delta (also Delview, Burnsview and North Delta), Sands Secondary is now Grades 8-12 with its first Grade 12 class graduated in June 2006.

It is home of the Sands Scorpions football team. As of the 2007 season, the Scorpions compete at the AAA level. Sands will also fields a Junior Varsity team.== References ==
