In Britain, Sandhill Rustic is represented by three subspecies:
- subspecies gueneei, found in coastal sandhills in North Wales and Lancashire
- subspecies leechi, found on Loe Bar, the shingle beach with separates Loe Pool from the sea, where it was discovered in 1974.
