The San Francisco Bay Trail is a bicycle and pedestrian trail in the San Francisco Bay area that is intended eventually to be a continuous 400 miles (644 km) network of trails that will encircle San Francisco Bay and San Pablo Bay. As of 2005 it consisted of approximately 240 mi (386 km) of somewhat discontinuous trail sections. It is a project of the Association of Bay Area Governments.
