Philips Andover is actually the second oldest boarding school in America. Governor's Academy, formerly Governor Dummer Academy (GDA) was founded in 1763 and funded through the will of Lt. Governor William Dummer. If I recall correctly Samuel Phillips, Jr was actually a graduate of GDA.
