[edit] Anything more?

Vance served on a number of political and civic committees (e.g. for a proposed World's Fair and to help Union soldiers from Pennsylvania) but can anyone sift through all those lists and find anything interesting? Did he do anything noteworthy as a school board member? He was on the good government side, I think against the Tweed Ring, but doesn't seem to have been a leader.

What about his confused history in the brass and fixture moulding business, and all those companies tied to Mitchell Vance and its one-time insolvency? Shakescene (talk) 11:53, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
