[edit] "The deer did not like the habitat, and escaped"

How can deer escape from an island?

Samson, Tresco and Bryher join on an extreme low tide.
HAHA, I had a good laugh when I read that.

[edit] Michael Morpugo

There's a book I read when I was little called Why the Whales Came by Michael Morpugo, about a community living on the Isles of Scilly. It featured Samson, saying that the isle was cursed after some narwhals were beached on the island and the locals killed them for ivory instead of trying to get them back in the sea. Is this actually a traditional local legend or was it simply made up by Morpugo? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Holy triple m (talkcontribs) 14:46, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
