Does anyone know why these cigarettes are no longer available in US markets? I assume that Altria's control of the company has something to do with it.

Does anyone know what Altria's plans are for the company and it's cloves?

Hey there, Who wrote this article? "...fatally-strategic..." is gramatically wrong. Furthermore why is Altria's purchase of Sampoerna bad? It basically bought a fat cash cow in Sampoerna who already has major market share in Indonesia, a nation which boasts 90% smoking rate among its men. True Marlboro doesn't sell well in Indonesia..but that's why Altria's buying a Kretek brand!

the only thing close may be that "it's smoked by millions of Indonesians." If you think it's an ad, specify what you find offensive. There's nothing more annoying than claiming something is a problem without proposing a solution (or even identifying the problem).

Im not in Indonesia at the moment, but 234 doesnt have 16 in a pack. I think its about 12.

But they've released heaps of new ones lately, and they've released ones with filters too.

But yeah Sampoerna is by far the most popular kretek style cigarette there.
