[edit] Rank

I've included a discription in the article, of Flagg's ranks, first Lt.Col then Col. Does anyone have opinons on this addition. GoodDay 21:36, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

In the episode A Smattering of Intelligence, Ed Winter's first appearance under the character name "Colonel Flagg", he is clearly wearing a silver oak leaf and not an eagle. If he later wears an eagle as rank insignia then the description of his ranks would be accurate. I consider it unlikely that an eagle would be part of a disguise for him - he is never seen using a higher rank as an alias, only lower ranks. Darcyj 10:10, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
The silver oak leaf is a 'lieutenant colonel' (which he was in the first three seasons). GoodDay 23:54, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Last appearance

Didn't Flagg appear in the final episode of M*A*S*H? It's twenty years since I saw that, so my memory may be deceiving me, but I'm sure he was still up to his tricks until the last. John G Walker 21:12, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

He appeared in the sequel AfterMASH, but Flagg's last appearance was in the episode Rally Round the Flagg, Boys in season 7; at least that's what they say on tv.com. -- VederJuda 22:16, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
I'll wait for the DVD of the fiinal episode to come out. If my memory is correct, I'll amend this article. I wouldn't know what to do about tv.com, since I don't know that site. John G Walker 14:17, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Correction

In the episode where Flagg tries to enlist Winchester in his spying, Flagg bursts in on a bridge game that includes the mayor of Ouijongbou and his brother, the police chief. It was not the mayor of Seoul as someone previous had entered. (I just saw that episode last night.) Ouijongbou is the town near where the 4077th is located. - Michael J 10:21, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Captain Halloran

Has it been confirmed one way or the other whether the Captain Halloran character that appeared in Deal Me Out was supposed to be Flagg using an alias?
JesseG 22:22, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

It never has. Since same actor playing a different character is not uncommon on M*A*S*H, (see Harry Morgan playing a looney general prior to Col. Potter), it's just speculation to assume that Halloran was meant to be Flagg, especially given how the latter was introduced. I'm taking it out. -- Aleal 19:23, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
Besides Halloran and Flagg responded differently to Klinger wearing drag. Halloran said "Up close you're a guy." and Flagg snapped at Klinger to be in uniform the next time they met. Based upon that, I'd say we're dealing with tow different characters. Ken S. (talk) 13:45, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Your forgetting the fact in the season 4 episode with Flagg, and Sidney Freedman, Flagg tells Sidney they played poker once, after which, Sidney remembers the last time he saw him, and remembers that he was in "Intelligence". Its a rather obvious reference to Halloran just being another of Flagg's aliases. As Halloran claimed to be in "Intelligence" in the "Deal Me Out" episode.132.160.43.102 (talk) 23:14, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
