[edit] Manchester United (1914-1919)

Is this the same Sam Cookson who played for Manchester United in the mid-to-late-1910s? If so, wasn't he born in Bargoed, Wales? - PeeJay 11:10, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Looks like another Sam Cookson. Manchester City: The Complete Record lists his clubs as Ancoats Lads Club, South Salford Lads Club, Walkden, Stalybridge Celtic, Macclesfield, Manchester City, Bradford Park Avenue and Barnsley, and lists his birthplace as Manchester. It also says he signed for City in October 1918. Everything Under the Blue Moon lists his birthplace as Manchester too. Oldelpaso 17:27, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
OK, thanks man. I really could do with a "Who's Who" of Man Utd players, tbh. - PeeJay 17:41, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
