[edit] Contribution by AlexWilkes

I've just noticed that Alex has done his everything must have a header about it act on here so I've reverted it back to it's original format. (Pally01 20:21, 2 August 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Allegations

I have removed the line "yet he has so far failed to do so" from the section concerning the Panorama expose/ Stevens Report as we have no evidence to suggest that legal action is impending or has been rejected by Mr Allardyce. Until anyone is charged on these matters (which seems unlikely) I propose that it's probably best to stay as neutral as possible and take a NPOV. The globetrotter 00:10, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Early Life and Career

"He joined Bolton Wanderers as a centre-half in 1973 and is best remembered as a player for being part of the side which won the Second Division title in 1977-78 to secure promotion to the First Division. This is currently the only honour he has won as either a player or manager." There seems to be other statements which contradict this: His promotions with Limerick and Notts County —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.37.30.109 (talk) 13:34, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Early life, his accent

He, unlike other footballers, does not have a thick accent. What is his accent from? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Radio Guy (talkcontribs) 03:20, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

IMO his accent is Black Country (he was born in Dudley) mixed with a Lancashire/north-west accent (he has spent a lot of time working in northern England). Not sure it's relevant to the article though.--Jameboy (talk) 16:35, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
