Samuel W. Collins
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Samuel W. Collins was a Canton, Connecticut ax manufacturer. The Collins and Company Works was notable not only because it was the largest ax manufacturing company in nineteenth America (the company also made ploughsares), but because it is the place where Elisha Root invented the important industrial technique of die casting.
