Samuel Palermo

Samuel Palermo worked for Mussolini's Secret Service During World War II. Samuel Palermo is a native Sicilian who rode his bicycle at night and warned Jewish people to flee before facing the persecution of the Holocaust. Mr. Palermo kept it secret for more than fifty years until the JCC of Rochester, NY held a congratulatory ceremony on his behalf to honor his bravery.
