The Samsung Medical Center is composed of Seoul Samsung Hospital (Korea: 서울삼성병원), Kangbook Samsung Hospital (Korea: 강북삼성병원), Masan Samsung Hospital (Korean: 마산삼성병원), and Samsung Life Sciences Research Center (Korean: 삼성생명과학연구소). Seoul Samsung Hospital is a state-of-the-art hospital and medical center in Seoul. It is also the teaching hospital for medical students in Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine. It opened on November 9, 1994, and has over 4,000 employees. It is located in the southern part of the city, in Irwon-dong, Gangnam-gu. The closest subway station is Irwon Station, and a free shuttle is available between the station and the medical center.

The hospital is well equipped to offer assistance to both Koreans and foreigners. An International Health Services center is located on the second floor, and the emergency center has many English-speaking doctors.
