Sampson Gideon

Sampson Gideon (1699, London - 1762) was a Jewish banker in the City of London. He was a trusted "adviser of the Government" and in this capacity he supported the Jew Bill of 1753. He was the father of Elizabeth Gideon, the wife of William Gage, 2nd Viscount Gage. His son was created Sampson Eardley, 1st Baron Eardley.
