[edit] The Battle
LTTE attacked to Trincomalee navy base using heavy artillery.Then Sri Lanka army decided that the LTTE camps may be threat to Trincomalee city.So army started a mission to capture Sampoor from LTTE. Because of the morale, Sri Lanka army able to capture it in 9 days. Army cleared near 25 square Kilometers.
