To give a shape to bhajan rendering, Sri Sadguru Swamigal of Maruthanallur, near Kumbakonam in Tamilnadu, compiled the compositions of many saint poets of Indian sub continent and brought them under the frame work of Dakshina Sampradhaya Bhajan.
