Hanson ("Sammy") Carter (March 15, 1878, in Northowram, Yorkshire, England - June 8, 1948 in Bellevue Hill, New South Wales) was a cricketer who played for Australia and New South Wales.
Carter was a wicket-keeper and achieved statistics of 44 catches and 21 stumpings in 28 Test matches between 1907 and 1921.
In 1932 at the age of 54, Carter toured the U.S. and Canada with an unofficial side captained by Vic Richardson.
