The Samar Hornbill or Calao De Samar (Penelopides samarensis) is a species of hornbill in the Bucerotidae family. It is endemic to the Philippines. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. Many Taxonomists consider this species to be a subspecies of the mindanao hornbill ( Penelopides affinis).
