Oil on canvas portrait of Rev. Samuel Kirkland painted by Augustus Rockwell in the 1870s. The painting is the property of Hamilton College. It was used (in reverse) on the cover of The Divided Ground: Indians, Settlers and the Northern Broderland of the American Revolution by Alan Taylor, 2006.
