[edit] Name

I'm from Lexington, SC (a few miles away from the dam in question), and I've never heard "Saluda Dam". Around here, its the "Lake Murray Dam". If we're going to use an unofficial name, it should be "Lake Murray Dam", which people actually use.Lexington1 (talk) 01:34, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Lexington1: "Saluda Dam" is the named used by Scana, FERC, and Britannica. The only time I ever hear it called "Lake Murray Dam" as opposed to "Saluda Dam" is when I'm so incredibly bored that actually WIS news. I suppose they call it "Lake Murray Dam" because they're sloppy. My only problem with this article is that it refers to Columbia using the term "metropolis" as opposed to describing the Columbia area as the "metropolitan region."
