If Columbia University gives someone an honorary DSc, they clearly pass WP:PROF hence are notable.--Newport 12:53, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
She was awarded the Thomas Hunt Morgan medal in 1999 and in 1993 she recieved the National Medal of Science (America's highest science honor) so I'd say yes.--TH2007 12:33, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
