Salm-Horstmar existed from 1803 to 1806 as a county ("Grafschaft") of the Holy Roman Empire, situated in the territory of the former "Amt Horstmar" of the Bishopric of Munster. In 1806 Salm-Horstmar was mediatised to the Grand Duchy of Berg.
