Salvatore "Sally" D'Ambrosio (1924 - November 1969) was a New York mobster who served as a lieutenant for the Profaci crime family and hitman for the Colombo crime family family. D'Ambrosio and future boss Carmine Persico attempted to murder Larry Gallo in a New York City bar. D'Ambrosio also participated in the murder of Joseph "Joe Jelly" Gioelli. Gioelli was an enforcer for Joey Gallo, a rival of the Profaci family. D'Ambrosio, having served with Gioelli during WWII was able to lure him onto a fishing trip out in Brooklyn's Sheepshead Bay, where D'Ambrosio and his fellow Profaci men shot and dismembered Gioelli. D'Ambrosio's brother, Alphonse "Funzi" D'Ambrosio, was also a Colombo family hitman.

The attempted murder of Gallo is recreated in the 1974 film The Godfather Part 2 when the "Rosato Brothers" attempt to kill Corleone family caporegime "Frank Pentangeli".
