Dame Sally Powell, DBE (born 2 October 1955) is a leading local councillor in Great Britain for the Labour Party.
Powell is a former dancer with the Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet and a solicitor, became a councillor in 1986. She was Labour's Deputy for Regeneration of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham until 2006 and has been Deputy Chair of the Association of London Government
She is also a member of the London Development Agency, Chair of Greater London Enterprise, Deputy Chair of Business Link for London and Vice Chair of the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA). She has been one of the UK's representatives on the Committee of the Regions.
Powell, as Deputy Leader of the Labour Group on the Local Government Association, is one of two councillor representatives on the Labour Party's National Executive Committee.
Powell is married to Iain Coleman, former Member of Parliament for Hammersmith and Fulham; they have one son.
