After selling ACT! contact management software to Symantec in 1993, Pat Sullivan founded the sales force automation software company SalesLogix in 1995. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, the company went public in 1999 (NASDAQ: SLGX). [1]

The company changed its name to Interact Commerce Corporation (NASDAQ: IACT) in April, 2000. [2] Later that year the company acquired ACT! from Symantec and launched a new business-to-business web portal that provided web-based application services to the ACT! and SalesLogix product lines. [3]

In May 2001, Sage Group plc acquired Interact Commerce Corporation.
