Quoth the article:

"He was the first British Muslim elected to the European Parliament in 2004."

Er, the "in 2004" is confusing in the context of "first." Should this sentence be broken up into two separate concepts -- (1) that he was elected to the European Parliament in 2004 and (2) that he was the first British Muslim elected to the European Parliament? --Jfruh (talk) 18:52, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, yes. I gathered as much that the original source was party to the sackings, but Wikipedia doesn't allow us to share what we know, but can't back up with news reports. (WP:OR)Biscit (talk) 16:23, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
