Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance (Санкт-Петербургский государственный университет экономики и финансов) was established in 1930 as Leningrad Institute of Finance and Economics (Ленинградский финансово-экономический институт; hence the colloquial name Финэк (Finec)).
