[edit] New Construction

The hospital is in the process of rebuilding itself after being damaged in the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. The new East Wing has been completed, and is operational.

[edit] Nursery

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger named the nursery after his wife, Maria Shriver at Saint John's Health Center. The Maria Shriver Nursery has the capacity to care for 24 babies at one time. The Irene Dunne Guild NICU is a department in the Maria Shriver Nursery to care of additional newborns that have critical care needs. A Legacy of Children Wall is created by incorporating her words of inspiration to young parents. The wall is located in the family-friendly waiting area.[1]
