Wikipedia is an incredibly valuable resource. Once the academic community learns to embrace it, rather than to fear and ridicule it, its true societal benefits will be realized. Its primary weakness lies not in its content, but in its hierarchy.

Trust is necessary. There are some people in this world who know something is a fact because they live it daily, not because they have a book that tells them.

My comments on talk and discussion pages are just that: comments. They're even-tempered, sometimes in the form of an inquiry, other times in the form of a statement. If you're reading anything into them along the lines of tone, anger, joy, or such, then you're reading too much into them. Worked-up emotion is for something that matters, not a website.

The week starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday. In some parts of the world, it does not. The solution lies in accepting the variation, not demanding conformity.

This was a much better place when we didn't have the picture police running around.

I highly dislike the metric system.
