Saginaw High School

Saginaw High School (part of the Saginaw City School District) is located in Saginaw, Michigan, USA. The student enrollment is approximately 1000 students.
The school's mission statement is "Saginaw High is committed to ensuring a safe and academic environment where the students will become academically proficient, life long learners, and productive citizens."
Saginaw High has been and continues to be a dominant state power in basketball.[citation needed] They defeated the Huskies of Detroit Redford to claim the 2007 Class A state championship. The Trojans then repeated in 2008, beating the Detroit Pershing Doughboys, to capture another Class A state championship title. Before this, Saginaw last won a state championship in 1996.
The Mighty Marching Trojans are a highlight of the school, winning awards from Howard University among others. They march in a traditional African-American university or urban style. One former basketball player from Saginaw High include Anthony Roberson, who is currently a player for the Golden State Warriors. Another is Darvin Ham who played on the 2004 Detroit Pistons championship team.
