Saffia Farr is the author of Revolution Baby: Motherhood and Anarchy in Kyrgyzstan. Saffia moved to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia when she was twelve weeks pregnant with her first child. She enjoyed three turbulent but exciting years of bizarre ante-natal care, the Tulip Revolution and exploring this little known but beautiful country. Saffia’s writing and photographs have appeared in the Weekly Telegraph, Traveller and Voyager magazines and are featured in the latest edition of the Odyssey guide to the Kyrgyz Republic. She hopes to raise Kyrgyzstan's profile through her slideshows, presentations to children in schools and libraries and book events.
