Safety Network International e. V. is a user organisation in form of a German eingetragener Verein (non profit organisation). As such the organisation is registered at the Amtsgericht Esslingen, Germany. The location of the organisation is Ostfildern, Germany

Safety Network International e. V. has been founded by 8 companies. This happened in 1999 under the name of SafetyBUS p Club International e. V. In 2006 the organisation changed its name to Safety Network International e. V. Meanwhile over 70 companies on 4 continents joint the organisation (per 2006).

Besides the headquarter in Germany there are regional organisations of Safety Network International e. V.

The target of the organisation is the use and support of the safety related fieldbus system SafetyBUS p and of the industrial communication system SafetyNET p. In addition the organisation has the objective to support the integration of the two technologies into existing and future automation systems.
