"... it is notable for featuring guitars tuned to D rather than E." How is this notable? There are thousands and thousands of songs with detuned guitars, not to mention unorthodox tunings. - Quirk 09:14, 22 August 2005 (UTC)

Generally, most of the Metallica song's before then were in standard tuning (EADGBe), though I am no expert. This statement may have some relevance, as Metallica came to introduce alternate tunings in much of their future works. Again, if I am wrong, I apologize. Cronos12390 14:26, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Number of Tracks

"Sad But True is one of 5 songs released off the cd Metallica (commonly referred to as the Black Album)..."

How is this so? Metallica has 12 songs on it, not 5. Cparker 18:03, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

It is one if the 5 songs released as a single from the album. -- Marcika 13:29, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thrash Metal?

I dont think this song qualifies as thrash, its best defined as simply heavy metal.

You could argue that the song is post-thrash, but I suppose the current definition works as well, if not better.72.195.182.192 20:59, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
