Sacred Heart School of Halifax

The Sacred Heart School of Halifax is an independent Catholic day school in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada established in 1849. It is one of a number of international schools of the Society of the Sacred Heart. The Headmistress is Patricia Donnelly. All of the students wear school uniforms. Sacred Heart has two campuses in central Halifax:

  • The girls' high school (Grades 7-12, Pauline Scott, Principal) located at 5820 Spring Garden Rd.
  • Co-ed elementary school (Jr. Primary to Grade 6, Joy Carter, Principal) located at 5820 Spring Garden Rd.
  • The boys' high school (Grade 7-11, Robert Marchand, Principal) is on 5900 Inglis Street. A wing is currently being added to the Spring Garden Campus to house the Boys' High School.

The separate high schools provide single-sex education.
