Saccorhiza polyschides (Light.) Batt.

Saccorhiza polschides (common name: Furbellow) is a large common brown algae of the seas.

A large and bulky seaweed growinf to 5 m. long. It attached to the rocks by rhizoids. The stip is flattened, spirally twisted and develops a strong wavy margin several cms. wide.[1][2]
